A Holiday Getaway in New Haven With Boutique Accommodations at The Blake
Recently ranked among the “Best of Connecticut 2020” in the City Lodging category by Connecticut Magazine, we’re proud to offer exceptional accommodations on New Haven’s High Street, a stone’s throw from the resplendent Yale University campus.
Our guest rooms and suites with their full kitchenettes offer both style and comfort to spare—and you can even bring Fido along with you for your New Haven holiday escape. Our amenities run the gamut from a fitness center and 24-hour lobby market to our exceptional Hamilton Park restaurant and High George rooftop bar. Linger by the fireplace in the lobby, or admire the artwork on display at our very own hotel gallery up on the sixth floor, next to High George.
Holiday Happenings in & Around New Haven
With a chic home base at The Blake, you’ll be well poised to enjoy the New Haven area’s holiday events and spectacles. For instance, you’ll find yourself just a short way from the Fantasy of Lights, a drive-through holiday light installation blazing up Lighthouse Point Park (2 Lighthouse Rd, New Haven, CT) from November 20th through New Year’s Eve. Lit up from 5 to 9 PM Sundays through Thursdays and from 5 to 10 PM on Saturdays and Sundays, this cheery illuminated wonderland serves as a benefit for the worthy initiatives of Goodwill of Southern New England.
Equally convenient for our Blake guests is the Branford Electric Railway Association’s Shore Line Trolley Museum (17 River St, East Haven, CT), which’ll once again be hosting a family-friendly holiday display and regular visits from the one and only Santa Claus for some socially distanced seasonal fun. Santa’s swinging by the museum—the trolley yard, trolley barn, and station of which will be decked out in holiday decorations—beginning on Friday, November 27th and then from 11 AM to 3 PM each Saturday and Sunday through December 20th.
